Eclesiastical Art Workpiece
An eclesiastical art workpiece in the renaissance style designed by The Holy Sepulcher Brotherhood used 18 of our Louis XIV decorative grilles. Beaux-Arts Classic Products decorative grilles are frequently used in eclesiastical settings such as; churches, chapels and wedding venues.
The renaissance float displays the iconography of the Advent of the child Jesus of Cordoba’s La Compania. The iconography on this side corresponds to the pregnant Mary.
The Float is used for carrying an image and also for giving a spiritual message. It was used in a procession on December 27th.
The Louis XIV grilles are a beautiful embellishment to the design.
The art workpiece in the renaissance style was made by Juan Perez Sanchez and Jorge Dominguez Conde and designed by a friar of the Holy Sepulcher Brotherhood. The float has eight chapels, like the ancient baptismal chapels that will represent Our Lady of the Expectation used at Vespers the last seven days of Advent. Each one of them represents the names of Christ and His attributes.
The iconographic program is the work of Manuel Gonzalez Lopez-Corps, professor at the University of San Damaso who specializes in Theology of Liturgy. The paintings by Miguel Arroyo.
The float will be displayed in the streets today, Tuesday, January 2nd. The image of the child Jesus will leave in procession across the streets downtown starting at 5 p.m. accompanied by the musical group Sagrada Cena.
