Beaux-Arts Classic Products first developed the recessed chandelier by hanging crystals from our decorative recessed light trims. We encouraged homeowners to convert their recessed lights into mini chandeliers and offered many custom options to create the perfect “Recessed Chandelier” to compliment their decor. They were an immediate success, because the recessed down lights lit up the crystal beads and various crystals making them glow. The glowing crystals are a huge improvement over regular chandeliers since the little candle lights on traditional chandeliers are normally above the crystals, and hence they don’t glow. Of course large chandeliers will always have their place in dining rooms, foyers, master bedrooms and even kitchens, but there are lots of places where our recessed chandeliers are a perfect choice.

4 Ways to Install and Utilize our 4″ Victorian decorative Recessed Chandeliers in your Home
- Makeover your existing 4″ recessed light canister with any of the 4 inch style mini chandeliers on our website that do not come with an LED recessed light. Then you can even use your favorite incandescent light bulb or the existing A-16 type bulk your fixture is already using. Even if your current fixture has an eyeball or wall wash feature it can be easily made over to a recessed chandelier.
- Update your existing 4″ recessed light by converting to an LED Retrofit made for 4″ recessed light canisters. This is also a cost saving ecological update since LED consume 84% less electricity than incandescent bulbs, and last 10 years or more. Another interesting feature of an LED retrofit is that the LED and the baffle are one piece. so you can’t see in between the bulb and baffle into the galvanized steel canister. Look for 4″ LED retrofits with warm white light at 2700 Kelvin temperature for the best light to flatter your skin tones.
- If you don’t have an existing recessed light in the place you want a mini chandelier, purchase a 4″ LED wafer. Since LED lights don’t make heat they don’t need a canister to prevent hot incandescent bulbs from burning the insulation in the ceiling. All you need to install is a 4″ LED Wafer in a 4″ hole in your ceiling and access to 120 volt power. Since an LED wafer is thinner than drywall you can even install them directly under a ceiling joist. So, if you want it exactly over the sink in the master bathroom, and a ceiling joist is in the way, no matter, an LED Wafer is only 3/8″ thick and drywall is 1/2″ thick.
- News Flash – if you have any type of ceiling light that hangs from a junction box in the ceiling, there is a brand new light which is a combination of an LED Wafer that can be surface mounted and hook up to the same junction box. These brand new LED lights are called down lights, which used to be slang for recessed lights. Now they are their own category of LED lights for the ceiling.
